Why do you love your father? Do you feel that his existence is meaningful? The role as a father is not as easy as we know. It takes so much effort for them to be a good individual to their own folks. This inspirational story that I wanted to throw in to my readers really inspires and captures their heart. You may feel happy for a lot of reasons. In fact, we must treasure them, because having a father is one of the greatest blessings in life of a person.
Mang Fred, an outstanding father, worked in his owned mini carinderia. He has two daughters, Analyn and Arlene who helped him serve their costumers every weekend. They work so hard to make their business grow and to sustain the education and other necessities of his two daughters. As day goes by, this mini business goes strong and it maintains to serve their costumers the way they want it too.
Mang Fred woke up everyday in the morning to purchase pandesal and other constituents that they needed on their carinderia riding his two-wheeled bicycle back and forth. This exhausting schedule day-by-day doesn’t make him to give up even if he is struggling on his diabeties. Instead, he do all of these to fulfill the needs and education of his two daughters.
Because of his crave to grant the needs of his daughters, he now prefer to separate the profit of their total sales and divide it into five envelopes “secretly”. As day goes by, his plan continues doing his best to grow his savings. But his greatest fear is now facing him. After he closed their carinderia, he now went to his bed together with his two daughters. He suddenly collapsed and had a heart attack.
By this moment, all of them are shocked. They don’t have any idea of what they gonna do. But in the end, they lose their hopes and accept the fact that their most outstanding and strongest man is now going to his grave. Aftermath of their mourning, his daughter Arlene has found something weird under the master bed. She found out the five envelopes that has a letter on it. The first envelope written about the ipod of Arlene that she wanted to buy. The second one is for the reconstruction of their house. The third one is for their unpayed debts. The fourth one is for the tuition fee of his two daughters Arlene and Analyn. And the last one is for their other necessities.
After she saw the five envelopes, she cant resist to cry. Because even if their father is now going to his grave, he is really concern with the future of his family. Even Mang Fred’s soul is now on heaven, they always felt his existence. In fact, their carinderia is now named as “Friday’s Eatery” because Mang Fred was died on Friday.
Finally. even if his family is coping with pain, they never forget his existence. They never forget his kindness and his strength. They never forget all about him because for them, his existence never fades.
A father like him really inspires each one f us. He shows us that a father like him will do anything just to make his family happy even if he suffers from any illnesses.
